Collection: Our Prescription Policy
CPAP, Auto CPAP (APAP), and BiPAP machines along with complete mask systems are classified as Class II Medical Devices by the Food and Drug Administration and will require you or your doctor to provide us with a prescription to purchase. CPAP supplies and parts such as filters, tubing, water chambers, mask parts, cushions, and pillows do not require a prescription. We also require a prescription to purchase any type of oxygen device.
Check in the medications tab in your electronic health record account for the prescription. CPAP prescriptions can also be requested from your primary care physician. The quickest way to obtain is to send a message through your electronic health record account or by calling the office. Prescriptions may be written for “Lifetime Need” or “99 Months”. Lifetime prescriptions may be used for the prescribed equipment as often as needed to continue therapy. Your doctor is aware that you use CPAP and will likely provide a prescription for your machine and supplies.
The prescription must include your name, the physician’s name, their contact information, and their signature, as well as a statement about the equipment needed. Prescriptions for a CPAP or BiPAP machines will also include pressure settings. We will use the settings noted to program your machine that will be ready to use.
You can e-mail or fax to us your prescription. Or bring it with you when you visit our store to purchase your new machine. Feel free to call us to make sure that you have a valid RX before coming in.

No Prescription Policy
If you are shopping for supplies, a prescription is not required for CPAP replacement parts such as mask frames, headgear, cushions, filters, tubes or water chambers.
CPAP masks can be purchased without an Rx by purchasing non-prescription items: mask frame and headgear strap. The mask components will be packaged in separate manufacturer packaging within the same bag. You will receive a complete mask with all the necessary parts for a complete mask system.
