Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is an extremely common disorder among many people all over the world; effecting nearly 3 million people in the U.S. alone per year. The most common signs of OSA include, snoring and in most cases, sleep loss and fatigue. If you have any symptoms that may be of concern to you, you may want to be tested for OSA.

What is the WatchPAT ONE home sleep testing device?

The WatchPAT is a disposable home sleep apnea test device that can diagnose obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and central sleep apnea (CSA) by monitoring seven different metrics overnight. The device consists of a wrist unit, a finger probe, and a chest sensor that are connected by wires. The device communicates with a smartphone app that records and transmits the data to the cloud. This device is designed to be simple, accurate, reliable and can provide results after one night of use.

Why is a CPAP EquipSource Home Sleep Test worth it?

Rather than visiting a sleep center in a hospital or lab facility for a test conducted by a technician, simply purchase a Home Sleep Test (HST) from CPAP EquipSource for a more comfortable, cost and time efficient test!

Convenience
With our home sleep test, there are no doctor’s visits or prescriptions involved. We are partnered with a certified sleep doctor who interprets our tests, so that you never have to make any appointments. Spending a night away from home in a sleep lab is not an attractive option for many and is inconvenient as well, leading to interruptions in your busy schedule. Our test conducted in your natural sleep environment and facilitates a normal night’s sleep improving the accuracy of the test results. Sleep labs often ask patients to return for test redo’s due to invalid results.
Cost
HST is much, much less expensive compared to an in-lab test, HST is between 1/3rd and 1/10th of the cost of an in-lab study and in most cases the outcome is the same, or better.
Time
Patients wait weeks, sometimes longer for appointments at sleep labs; home sleep tests can be picked up from CPAP EquipSource at any point. Wear the device overnight and discard the disposable device. We will have your test results within 2 business days.
CPAP Prescription Provided
If your test results in a positive diagnosis for OSA you can purchase the machine and supplies needed to begin your therapy with the prescription that will be provided from our sleep doctor. You can visit our store, or we can ship equipment and supplies to your home.

How Our Process Works:

1. Add the Home Sleep Apnea Test service (HSAT) to the cart on this site and submit payment. You can also visit our retail store or call us at 1-833-285-0660 to place an order.
2. We will e-mail a DocuSign electronic document to complete and provide us with some personal and medical information for the sleep doctor to review and approve the test. If the doctor does not approve the HSAT we will provide a full refund within 48 hours.
3. Upon receipt of the completed documents and HSAT test approval from the doctor, we will mail the WatchPat One to your home or the device can be picked up at our store.
4. The WatchPat One comes with easy-to-use instructions and is patient ready. You wear the device during sleep time and the monitor will collect enough data after about 5 hours of sleep.

5. Our board-certified sleep physician reviews and interprets the test data and makes therapy recommendations based on a positive diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
6. Finally the doctor signs the CPAP prescription. Customer now has the prescription to purchase a new CPAP machine and supplies to begin therapy.

NOTE: The testing and CPAP start therapy process can be done in less than a week if the questionnaire and test are completed in a timely manner.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CPAP EquipSource does not bill Medicare, Medicaid or any type of health insurance company for the HST test, CPAP equipment or supplies. The total cost is the patient’s financial responsibility. Receipt will be provided to the patient with the appropriate medical billing codes that can possibly be used for reimbursement from your insurance provider.
